Church Planting – by Josh Horvath

Start a Movement Community Today!

Church planting has been in my heart since I took a church planting class in college. As I have worked jobs, I would always meet people who were receptive to me as a spiritual person, someone they could trust and come to with questions. I never desired to invite these people to church because I knew it would probably just end up confusing them. I always thought that I should just start a bible study for these people, and through that, they would be discipled. In my opinion, church planting should take place through relationship. As we meet people, we begin a home fellowship. I love that, because they are people who have friends who are not Christians, and that is who they bring to the group. One of the Movement’s core purposes will be to develop house churches of mostly non church goers. This entire model will be very organic and grow as ministries of this nature tend to when they are founded on Biblical teaching and genuine community.
